Connectors

Connectors let Forge connect to the tools you already use for development, delivery, cloud, data, and collaboration.

For example, connect GitHub to work with repositories, Jira to bring in work items, or AWS to provide cloud context to a project.

Add a connector

  1. Open Connectors from the sidebar.
  2. Click Add Connector.
  3. Find and select the service you want to connect.
  4. Enter the required credentials or sign in with the provider.
  5. Click Test & Save.

The fields vary by connector. Some use API keys or tokens, while others use OAuth.

Global vs. Personal

When you add a connector, you can choose how it is shared:

  • Global — Available to other users in the workspace, based on their permissions.
  • Personal — Available only to you.

You can also assign a connector to a Team if you want to limit where it can be used.

Manage your connectors

From the Connectors page, you can:

  • Test a connector to check that the connection works.
  • Edit its settings or credentials.
  • Remove it when you no longer need it.

Your available actions depend on your permissions.

What can Forge do with a connector?

It depends on the service. For example:

  • GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket / Azure DevOps — Pull repositories, source code, commits, and pull requests.
  • Jira / Monday.com / Confluence — Bring work items and existing documentation into Forge.
  • SharePoint / Google Drive — Use existing documents as project context.
  • AWS / Azure / Google Cloud — Provide cloud and infrastructure context.
  • Snowflake / SQL Server / Sybase ASE — Bring database and schema information into a project.
  • Figma / Lucidchart — Use existing designs and diagrams as project context.
  • New Relic / Datadog — Use observability data in assessments.
  • Slack / Microsoft Teams — Send notifications.
  • AI providers — Configure the models Forge can use.
